Welcome to my blog.
My first entry will be to give voice to a dear friend of mine who is on vacation to Lebanon. She was supposed to stay this week in Lebanon and then fly to Greece for 2 weeks to enjoy her 3 weeks holidays. I almost went along with her and decide a month ago to go do Taoist Tai Chi in Canada instead.
We exchanged SMS on Sunday as I am French and she is British regarding the World Cup final (Italy against France) and as she is a complete freak regarding soccer and the World Cup in particular. She was in Beirut on Sunday and was telling me how wonderful it was there to watch the final and then party with the people to celebrate Italy winning. We exchanged casual emails afterwards…then the bombing came along.
She is travelling with a friend and her little baby. They are now in a safe location outside Beirut but cannot leave the country yet. Please read the article she wrote and make up your mind on ow this world is going terribly wrong. You can read her reports:
